DCL pandora bead

I bought the DCL heart shaped Pandora bead at the end of March, so 5 months ago. It looks like crap. It is almost tarnishing. I clean my beads periodically and they look better after (of course), but this one never shines up at all. The finish on the side, where the heart goes down to a point, isn't even silver looking anymore, but black.
I was wondering if anyone else who has this bead has found a way to keep it looking decent, or if there is somewhere I can call to get a replacement/refund? I'm not going on any more cruises in future and I'm about to just take it off because it looks so dull.

You could always contact them at PANDORA Jewelry Customer Care Center at 1-844-467-1333 and ask for an exchange or refund.
I don't collect Pandora, but I was able to find the phone number above on a google search. Hopefully, they can help you out..

I miss when DCL had Chamilia instead of Pandora. I have a Pandora bracelet and many Pandora charms, but I am not one of those people who refuses to mix beads from other vendors on my Pandora (even if it "voids the warranty", as though I would be dumb enough to leave anything not Pandora on there when I took it for service....but I digress). I just think the beads were nicer. This is my charm from DCL....so cute!

I have had the same thing happen to a couple of my Pandora charms, one was a DCL charm. I took them to a jeweler that sold Pandora, they attempted to clean them and when the charms didn't shine up they sent them back to Pandora to be replaced. It can take awhile to receive the replacement charm, it took close to 3 months to get the DCL Pandora charm back. I hope it all works out so you can enjoy your souvenir form your cruise.

Agree that the Chamilia beads were way cooler! We have the crystal logo one, and even though one of the red crystals fell out its still a fave! The void the warranty is only for the first year you own the bracelet anyway, and is a result of the potential for defects as a result of the metal used in beads compatibility with the bracelet. A fancy way of saying, if you use non-pandora beads and your bracelet turns purple, too bad.

I work at a store that sells Chamilia. I assume it is same with Pandora charms. The only way they say to clean them is to polish them with a cloth. When not wearing, store in jewelry box or something where the air is closed off as this is what leads to tarnish. Jewelry stores cover theirs with cloths at night. If any cleaner was used it will take off top coating causing issues with colorization. You can probably get it replaced since you are within warranty. Unfortunately you won't know until you send it to them and if not covered they may charge you to send back origional charm.

I know this post is going to be very but everytime I've seen this thread pop up I read "DCL pandora bread" rather than "DCL pandora bead" and get super excited thinking DCL introduced some delicious new bread.

I bring my Pandora beads to a Pandora store, and they clean the entire thing for free.

Did you purchase your charm on a recent cruise? We cruised on the Dream in February this year and I bought the ship bead, despite not 'loving' it. We are cruising on the Wonder in March 2017. Thanks for your reply in advance

They have the standard generic cruise ship that has the DCL logo on both sides. There also is the heart bead (which apparently is almost always upside down since the hearts aren't weighted correctly). There are also some dangles that I think are exclusive to each ship. But my wife doesn't do dangles.

I looked at it and read DCL Panera Bread - I thought woo hoo! Panera bread on board! Maybe it's my subconscious telling me to stop cleaning house go eat an early lunch (at Panera Bread).

Mine was purchased on the Disney Magic in February 2015. I believe that was just on the cusp of the transition for Disney between Camillia and Pandora. I think I was lucky to get that one because they still had some remaining.
