DCL Panama canal questions

Just a quick question. At Port Canaveral, have anyone an idea of what the wait times at the immigration check is when we always have to go through the secondary check/back room for an extra check there?

We just booked the May 1, 2016 Disney Panama Canal cruise that leaves from Port of Miami and ends in San Diego. Just wondering for those who have done it what your favorite land excursions were? We stop in Cozumel, Cartagena, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo san Lucas. Lots of land excursions listed. Greatly appreciate hearing about any that you did and liked. Thanks.

Our Panama Canal cruise had different ports, except for Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. We really enjoyed swimming with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta.

In Cartagena, we booked a private tour with Dora the Explorer. She came highly, highly recommended on DIS and on Trip Adviser. She was amazing. We saw so much and everything was customized to our group. The price was great too. We went with a small group of others from our meet group so the price was reduced.

In Cozumel, we were going to go to Paradise Beach and then shopping, but we decided to just go to Pancho's Backyard for lunch instead. A lot of people got very seasick going over to the mainland for excursions, so we were glad we did not go on any of them. We were there on a Sunday so a lot of things were closed.

We missed Puerto Vallarta due to "unrest" although I had friends in the city vacationing there the same day we were supposed to port and said it was calm and completely like any other day, so ???

In Cabo, we went on a private water taxi tour. It cost our family $20 USD to go out to Los Arcos. We were supposed to get dropped off at Medano Beach, but the tide was really bad, so we were not able to go there. We walked around the shops at the port and then found the most awesome taco trucks behind the stores that our boat guide told us about. We were afraid we would get sick, but we didnt. Then we went to the "local's beach" that our guide told us about. It was amazing and there was not a single peddler pushing their wares. We walked back to the port from there.

We did a privately arranged street foods tour in Cartagena, which was pretty amazing. We left the touristy part of the city (the walled area) completely behind and went into the heart of the city to try out various local foods. I loved it there so much!

Our absolute favorite excursion in Puerto Vallarta is Las Caletas. It's a private beach surrounded by jungle and therefore only accessible via boat. It's great for both adults and children and we will do it every time we are there.

Thanx for the replies everyone. It's appreciated. We're most probably gonna do the cruise.

In April this year, we did a transatlantic cruise with the Norwegian Star, where we had 6 sea days in a row, when we passed trough the Atlantic Ocean.
To be honest, those days went really fast. It was very relaxing.
due to weather we had 10 sea days last year on the ebpc but it was great

Looking forward to meeting and chatting with fellow cruisers....anyone going on the May 1st 2016 Miami to SanDiego cruise ? Also first time doing the "fish extenders" any help will be welcome.
