I understand that when you cruise solo there is an additional expense for what they refer to as "single supplement". Does anyone know how many additional points I would be charged if I cruised alone and paid with points?

I have cruised with the family three times and have never regretted saving myself the effort and potential headache of renting the points and paying cash as many like to suggest. Sometimes I'm happy to pay extra for convenience.

It's a little less than the cost for two people. A single cruiser is only responsible for one set of taxes and port fees.

Oh, so if we cruise on points, I know I have to pay the $95 exchange fee, but I also have to pay port taxes and fees? Is this a few hundred dollars extra?
I was trying to use our points for a cruise next year and didn't want a lot of extra money we would have to spend to book it since I could also just use for DVC since we have APs we could still use.

So, the single supplement would still be higher than a single using the points for that room too, is that correct?
Otherwise, I would book one person in a balcony and one person in an inside across the hall and use that for a second bathroom
and for sleeping (for myself) instead of both of us in a balcony since I would be cruising with my mom and not my dh.

Thank you.

but I also have to pay port taxes and fees? Is this a few hundred dollars extra?

Port fees and taxes are included in the quoted point rates.

The single supplement is approx. 200% of the base cruise fare for 1 person.
