What time should I book a couple's spa massage? I plan to try and get the couple's villa on board. How early does the spa open for couple's appointments? Second question, what is the time range on the Palo brunch? How long does it last? Does Palo still do an afternoon tea? Thank you in advance for your help!

The Palo brunch is a 2 hour window. But you certainly don't have to take that long. I believe the first reservations are 10:00. Palo tea was discontinued several years ago, in order to accommodate more brunch reservations.

Sorry, don't know anything about the spa stuff.

On the Wonder, last time we sailed, there was a couple's villa at 8:00 AM that we took. It was a great way to wake up and start the day with a spa treatment, which included a soak in the hot tub, fresh fruit, tea, time on the spa verandah snuggled up in a big fluffy comforter in the cool morning sea breezes while we did so. Due to the other events we wanted to attend, we wanted to take the earliest appointment. I think we may have had a brunch at Palo that same day at around 11:30, so it was perfect. Fabulous way to start the day. Don't wait to book your spa treatments until you board - do it online as soon as your booking window opens. The couple's treatments go pretty fast, and there may be nothing left at the time you board. Even the days they have morning treatments open may book quickly. You have a lot of time to change your mind and switch things around after you book online.

In the past, we've also booked the couple's villa after lunch and before our early dinner seating. That is nice, too - but make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to shower and change for dinner. The couple's experience is about 2 1/2 or 3 hours. Possibly closer to 2 hours?? My memory is a little hazy on that, although 3 hours rings a bell.

Our recent Couple's Choice experience was about 3 hours. I think it's supposed to be 2.5 hours but if it's not really busy, they'll let you sit on the verandah with your tea for a while longer and let you soak in the tub beforehand a little longer. Don't book anything energetic afterwards, though - it creates such a sense of relaxation that you'll want to continue to luxuriate in that feeling for a while afterwards.

Ladies,
Is the Swedish massage an option for the Couples Choice? I do not see it as an option on the website. Does the Couple's Villa include the Rainforest? Are you able to add on treatments or change treatments once you get checked in? I'm booking in a few days and I am trying to decide between the Couple's Choice or the Ultimate Indulgence.

I can't really recall if Swedish massage is an option: twice I've had the hot rock massage and twice the bamboo massage. DH might have had Swedish during one of our sessions but I don't remember and he certainly doesn't. They don't ask you when you book so you don't need to make the choice at that time. They'll ask you to fill out a form with any issues that you have, which muscles are sore/tight, etc. and may make a recommendation for type of massage based on what you say. It might even depend on the particular expertise of the masseuse that you get. I never asked about other options because I particularly like both the hot rock and bamboo.

No idea if it includes the Rainforest - I think I've heard that you're given access to use it on the same day but we've always had other things to do so never asked.

I'm sorry.. I don't know the answer to most of your questions. We have had the same experience as kiford - 3 hours in one day was enough spa time, as we had other things we wanted to do, so we never asked about a day pass for the Rainforest Room. (we've bought a pass to use on another day, however... and it was WELL worth the money) You get a small break on the price if you order before you get onboard - it's under the Stateroom Gifts section of the official website. I DO know that you can choose your treatment when you arrive for your session. They always ask us which treatment options we want, even if we have indicated that beforehand. They are also very accommodating. I declined the foot massage that was part of the wrap I chose, due to extremely ticklish feet, and the technician was very kind and gave me a scalp massage and light facial, and it was HEAVEN!!! I would never just assume that I would get that kind of flexibility, but I've always found them to be so sweet and eager to please. Enjoy - you're going to love the experience!
