I spoke to cast member on Disney cruise line and added a Disney resort hotel on my email there's only cruise reservation number and pre cruise hotel stay information but nothing showing reservation numbers on Disney resort pre cruise stay. I phoned up and they said come back in a few days and Walt Disney World reservations centre would have notified them with reservation number for hotel stay.
Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for Walt Disney World reservations centre to get back to Disney cruise line with reservation number?

I think it can take a week or so, though it may be shorter. The DCL and WDW systems don't "speak" to each other. Most folks who do land & sea book the parts separately. While convenient to book it all at once and have 1 final total, it's actually easier to manage the WDW part if booked separate.

That's right the when you add a Disney resort pre/post cruise Disney cruise line don't book it on the Walt Disney World website.

Thank you I've been on the DCL website and did the live chat and they helped me retrieve my WDW number and I linked it into My Disney Experience. On the live chat I had to fill in a secure guest information form in order to give the agent permission to have a look.

We ALWAYS book the 2 separately. I have found there is often room deals to be had for the WDW stay that can't be accessed when booking your WDW resort stay with the DCL reservation. Also, I don't think you can add the dining plan when you have it tied to your DCL reservation. Of course it could be different now.

I just find it easier to have them separate.

I added on just the resort I haven't added on park tickets as Disney don't do the ticket for just 1 park per day types they only do hopper tickets and I prefer to stay in the 1 park as they are too big to do park hopping and once I'm in one park I'm enjoying it so I'm going to get the park tickets separately and make the park reservations.
