The Seelbach is still going strong. It is beautiful.

Thanks for the info. I really want to do the zp line. I have heard from somone else that the train was fun too.

Good Morning Nana

How are the new Grandparents doing?
As we speak Nancy is at PT for her foot. Thank god its almost back to normal. As I told her last week the older we get the longer it takes to heal and as Shannon our dughterinlaw said who is a DO a sprain takes longer to heal than a break.
I know you have been busy with new grandchildren and a wedding coming up but was wondering if you had checked out any place for us to stay while we are all in Vancouver BC in Aug.

I will have to ask him I know it is a Nikon but not sure of the rest of it. I have to say it takes great pictures. I almost feel bad about giving him a hard time about the price of the camera and accessories. He got a new lens this week. We had Aidan last night and he must have taken 100 pictures of her. :lovestruc

I use a Canon, but would love to hear what lens he got!! I love tinkering with my camera, but then I forget to edit out the bad ones and my hard drive gets too full!

Just got through purchasing or airline tickets. We are on our way:cool1:
Air Canada the whole trip.

We are driving from Wisconsin and from what it looks like parking is crazy by the terminal especially with an RV type van. Do any of you who may live by or have been to Vancouver have any recommendations for parking and maybe where to stay the night before our cruise with our RV. I've called some of the hotels like the Pacific Pan and they have their own parking in an under garage, but our vehicle is too high to fit in. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Vicki

Maybe see about a hotel near the airport perhaps with park and fly option or parking in the airport lots and then skytrain to downtown.

Ok...I got to this party really late.....and I started reading all the past posts and I just can't get to them all....so I apologize if this question has been asked and answered. DH has booked a hotel in Vancouver, but we still have not booked airfare yet. We may try to do it on points and if not we wanted to try Southwest from Philly. My question is, should we fly into Vancouver or Seattle and drive up? Kim I know you will know what I should do....I could fly to Seattle and see you guys for a few days first?? I don't know what to do...I'm going to download one of the travel books about Alaska on my new kindle.

I Haven't been to Vancouver since I was 15, but I'd say that if you're time crunched, and can do points, opt for flying into Vancouver. Otherwise, we'd love to have houseguests!!!!!

Mindy,
No later than me.:goodvibes
We are flying to Vancouver the day before and staying at the Marriott downtown....hopefully get to tour the day befroe we embark. At the end of the cruise we are going to stay at the Fairmont at the hotel through DCL ( they actually had a good rate) I am hoping DCL has an excursion that we are interested in for Vancouver or the vicinity that way we can tour and they will hold our luggage and then drop us off at the airport hotel. I think they had some in Barcelona last summer like that. When I was researching flights I could not find 25,000 mile flights into Seattle and Rick can't take off more days than he already is. Can't wait to all discuss on the 18th.:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Same thing as me Susan, to get 25k per flight I had to fly into Vancouver.

Mindy we get into Vancouver on the 14th, leave on the 18th and are in Seattle the 19th-22nd, then we drive back to Vancouver. We're staying at the Fairmont at the airport through DCL and have transfers booked. If you guys fly into Seattle before, we could meet up there and tour around together!
