DCL journal/autograph book?

Hi everybody. I'm a first time poster that has been able to get all my questions answered by y'all (I'm from Florida) except this one:

Do any of the shops onboard the Magic have DCL themed journals. I think that my DD would like to keep a journal of our trip and I thought that it would be nice to have one w/ a DCL logo or something. If not, I could go to the mall and maybe get a generic Disney one. We leave in a few days (June 5 Western). Thanks!

[font=Walt Disney Script v4.1]Im not sure if they do....but here is a creative idea....get a plain journal at any store and the you daughter can get tropical pictures or the dcl logo or the characters ar whatever. Anyway get enough to cover the front and/or the back to make a collage. it would give it a personal touch and very creative. Have a fantastic cruise!![/font]

First of all....welcome to the DIS!!!!

They had DCL scrapbooking materials and photo albums onboard but not sure about journals.....they also sold autograph books onboard but they are not DCL specific....they are the same ones that they sell at WDW.

Thanks for the great idea and the info on the scrapbooks y'all. I hadn't thought of it from that angle. It might be good for DD to spend the next couple of days preparing a scrapbook. She's out of school now and just waiting for the cruise.

Be sure to have the child's name and your stateroom number in the book. My granddaughter lost hers and she was so heart broken.

The next day (ONLY because we had ID written in the book) it was returned to her.

Great idea Mr. Bill!!!

DCL is very good about returning lost things to their owners...my DD lost her good necklace once....didn't know where on the ship she lost it so we went down to Guest Service and reported it and described what it looked like. Well the next afternoon we got a call from Guest Service that it had been found. The room steward found it in the hallway near our cabin and turned it into guest service. They contacted us because of the description we left and proximity to our cabin. My DD was very happy!!!

Our family is also frm Florida (Naples) but family all live around Gainesville, (Gainesville, Alachua and High Springs) small world!!!
