Have you been on all 4 DCL ships?
And is it only a Grand Slam if you do it all in one calendar year?
Or if you sail on a different ship in 4 consecutive cruises?
And would it be a Tiger Slam if you cruised on each ship in 4 consecutive cruises that cross over a calendar year?

These are the things that keep me from getting work done. :lmao:

Ok this goes on my bucket list now :cool1:

will have the slam in September. Took 4 cruises last year on 2 different ships. The ought to offer something to get us all to book. They ought to offer an additional OBC for each additional cruise or even ship you cruise within a 12 month period. Would take some work on their part.

I've done the Grand Slam (if that's what it's called). Love all 4 ships!! :thumbsup2

After August we will have the Royal Suite Slam - a Roy flush :thumbsup2

No offense, but who made YOU the be-all end-all authority on what makes a Grand Slam for DCL?? To my knowledge, as of this moment, there is no such recogition by DCL for this.

Like I said, no offense. It just made me think, "ok so it's a Grand Slam...why? because some person on a forum said so.":thumbsup2

There was lengtly discussion on this board back when the Fantasy launched concerning people who after they cruised on the Fantasy MV would have cruised on all 4 ships. That is when the discussion started originally concerning the "Grand Slam". People have also had cruise magnets designed with the "Grand Slam" theme! So as I mentioned - this discussion is nothing new to the DIS board.......

We got off the Fantasy last week becoming members of the "Grand Slam Club", Brent mentioned it at either the Castaway Club reception or during one of the shows.

Grand Slam Club - All four ships
Grand Slam Gold - All four ships in one year
Grand Slam Platinum - all four maiden voyages

And add "Plus" for all four ships PLUS the Big Red Boat

We will be Grand Slam Plus this fall. Can't wait!

After my Fantasy cruise in December and maybe the Transatlantic on the Magic in May 2013 - I'll have sailed on all 4 Disney ships. On the other hand, I've sailed on 7 (soon to be 8) different Royal Caribbean ships. However, RCI has 22 ships, so it will be awhile before I sail on all of them! :teeth:

Hmmm... I was on the Fantasy last week, will be on the Dream in October, and the Wonder next January... all I have to do is somehow squeeze in the Magic before next April and I'll be Grand Slam Gold!:thumbsup2

I really need to talk to DH since this might help to reduce the heartbreak of the knowledge that I can never be Grand Slam Platinum. :(

When you have to say "no offense" you probably shouldn't say it. I never claimed to be an authority, I was just having fun thinking about it. Nor did I suggest this should be some sort of DCL recognition.

However, this very discussion came up during the Gold and Platinum Castaway Club reception on our cruise last week. The cruise director asked the group if anyone had the grand slam, and no one present did. Not even the couple that had taken 38 cruises. It was light hearted and fun, which was my intent here.
