I may be interested in ordering the "Stateroom Celebrations" Happy Anniversary package with the cake and decorations from the DCL Gifts Brochure. Does anyone know if the cake can be delivered to the stateroom rather than to the dining room? Thanks!

Not sure about your cake question but
We have lots of people over on the cruise meet boards that would like to meet you!
We have quite alot of anniversary celebrators there including myself

As far as I know the cake is delivered to your stateroom. At least that's how it was for the Birthday stateroom celebration that I did for the DH on our cruise. It was all there when we arrived.

Just a quick question . . .where can I find info. on stateroom celebrations? On our cruise in September my DH and I will be celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Thanks!!!

We ordered the Birthday Celebration cake, banner, etc. for our son's birthday on our Feb 13-17th cruise. He was turning 4 on the 15th. The cake was in our stateroom when we arrived, and the banner and other birthday decortations were already hung.
The only mistake we made was that we had eaten so much food for lunch at the beach blanket buffet, we couldn't touch the cake by the time we entered our stateroom. Our son did eat the white chocolate "happy birthday" shaving of a cruise ship that was on top. It wasn't that large, but when we tried to stick it in the "cooling box," it wouldn't fit at all. I'm sure we could have cut it in half, but we didn't have anything else to place it in. After dinner that night, we were way too full to eat it again. We were afraid it may have been made with something that needed refrigeration, and not wanting to get sick, we ended up having to throw it out the next day.
On his birthday, the waiter did bring him a cake that was actually bigger and had the same white chocolate shaving on top. I'm not sure what kind of cake it was... something with a jelly type frosting. It seemed like just about every table in the restaurant had some celebration during the week and they all got the same cake.
My suggestion would be that if you are going to order it, make sure you'll be hungry enough to eat it. Let your waiter know the special occassion, and it will be celebrated when you want it without having to waste a whole cake.

I'm sorry I do not know what flavor it was since we threw it out (see previous post I wrote earlier). I can tell you that it did have vanilla frosting. It was about an 8 to 10 inch round cake that had rainbow colored confetti type candy/sprinkles around the outside of it. There was a white chocolate shaving of a cruise ship on top that said "Happy Birthday."

we wanted the Happy Anniversary decorations for our cruise (feb13-17) called DCL to order them the cm said they didn't offer that one anymore we went with the bon voyage. the cake was in the stateroom when we arrive then monday our anniversary we got another cake at dinner.

Just asked my 4 year old dd who loved the cake....it's a white cake!!

Woo Hoo, My sweetie and I will be on the May 7th Western cruise too! We're celebrating our 10 year anniversary on the 11th (Cozumel Day)!
Hope to see some of you folks there!
How much is the cake you folks are discussing? :cool1:

My daughters cake was a pink cake and the same one they brought to the dining room. It was like a strawberry? cake and way too sweet. Neither one of the 2 cakes were eaten fully. With all the food you have you can't finish it.
