DIS Dads DCL-Fantasy May 18,2013

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

Best time to make a move on the spouse?

  • In morning before kids wake up?

  • At night after kids go to bed?

  • During the day while kids are in Camp?

  • In The private cabana on Castaway Cay?

Ok I'm just going to throw this out there and Hopefully it wont get bumped.
I booked the 7 night Disney Fantasy with my wife and 3 kids...first time (9,7,5). a lot of planning but hoping to get some alone time with the wife... any tips or strategies to get the cabin alone with out the kids? and how about those cabanas on Castaway Cay? how secluded are they? are they private enough for the "S" word???
any tips are appreciated.....:cool1:

Thanks.

Just Kidding. We have not been on the cruises yet, but I thought that they had a sitting service or a club where they would supervise the kids for a while. A lot of the Dads go on cruises a lot. I'm sure someone can answer your question.

Have been on Castaway Cay. Don't remember the cabana's being that private.

Good luck and have a great time on the cruise.:thumbsup2

yeah well if you are talking to my wife it does??..,,,;)
but come on.....?

I have offen woundered about the were and how of pulling such a feet off at Disney. The logistics alone make my head spin. I would say try and play it by ear, check out the cabannas or maybe take a stroll to a not so populated part of the island. as for onboard try sending the kids to Camp. My DS sleeps soundly so me and DW can get away with it after he falls asleep but the last thing you want is a kids waking up to you two having a party in the sack.

Have fun on your cruise and sneaking s quickly with the wife.

The kids clubs on the disney boats are great. They have programs that run throughout the day. The kids are given a bracelet so once they are are in the club they can't get out and staff know where in the club they are at all times. Our kids would have spent way more time in the clubs if we have let them. We dropped them off in the kids club one afternoon so that we could enjoy the adult quiet pool and some time in the SPA. We didn't experience a cabana so I don't know how secluded they are.
