DCL Fantasy mattress

I'd like to buy the same or a similar mattress that the Fantasy has on their SR's
Best of luck, hope you find it.

We actually preferred the old seally mattress they used to use, and the ones they use at the WDW Premium resorts and were lucky enough to get one direct from Seally before they were discontinued.

The newer ones on the Fantasy our room steward told us weigh half the amount of the old ones so the can replace them without any help now, where before it took 2 crew members. The new ones are softer with a little less support in my opinion. They were OK, but man I am really going to miss the old ones.

I'm not too sure if DisneYE got any resolution but I will strongly advise you not to buy it.

I'm nearing the end of my 8th month sleeping on this mattress, and it is absolutely nothing like the one we've slept on so many times on the boat. Chris has said it would soften up - it never has.

While my full review is above here's the update. I purchased a 5-inch gel infused foam topper for $150. That made the bed "sleepable" and more like what I thought I was buying. It has been almost 8 months since purchase so yesterday when changing the sheets I thought, let's remove the foam topper and see if there is any difference as Chris has said there would be. There wasn't and after an hour of tossing and turning I got up and put the topper back on the bed.

Now, you might think with a topper that thick the mattress wouldn't have a chance to loosen and soften like Chris said it would. But I would also add that we have that tell tell hump in the middle that shows the "trenches" where 2 people have slept. So, we've had enough weight to create that change in the mattress but still it is FIRM and not at all in a good way, at least not for a side sleeper.

It's President's day so my advice go out and find a mattress that you can test that is on sale or try the $150 gel infused foam topper on top of the mattress you have now.

I will be curious to see if DisneYE got any resolution. When I called the manufacturer they said "we don't warranty comfort" which is EXACTLY what I buying for $2400....or THOUGHT I was buying b/c they never delivered the mattress I spent 40+ days sleeping on.

Buyer Beware
Thank you for the heads-up. The state of mattresses these days is awful.

Glad I found this thread I was seriously considering the Biscayne Diamond Eurotop since we love the DCL mattress.

We ended up forgoing any attempt at matching based on this thread tbh. We’ve tried two other mattresses so far and have returned both… next attempt is Costco's temperpedic which will hopefully arrive in a couple weeks. We’re currently sleeping on our guest bed - a Seely double from my college days. Maybe they really just don’t make them like they used to..? ^^;

We bought a firm Temper-Pedic. The store (generic furniture store) carried 2 versions of Temper-Pedic mattresses and the softer version, which the salesman said was his choice, made me feel like if I hit the side it would just give way leaving me heading for the floor. Assuming the TP mattress would be super firm, I made sure to keep our topper and that was a good decision.

Back when I was a kid an older adult friend of the family bought firm mattresses and it took almost 20 years - NOT an exaggeration - to soften up. When she passed on and we were asked to empty out her apartment, nobody wanted those mattresses because they were still board-like.
