DCL Fans, check out my new dining room!

I just thought I'd share pics of my DCL-inspired dining room with the only people who would really understand my obsession!

I spent about 24 hours tracing and painting my dining room wall to transform it into something special!

Yes, this took lots of patience and a lot of hiding from my 2yo and 3mo! When ever they both took a nap at the same time, I was painting! This is truly a labor of DCL love. I figured the Disers are the only ones that might appreciate my work, as my extended family must think I'm nuts.

I traced each of the ships' logos onto vellum and taped the vellum into my wall sconces. This way, you can see the logos at night, but not during the day time! A little added Disney magic!

Hope you enjoy my little DCL project! Maybe it will inspire some of you to try something like this. It sure was a lot of fun!

Well, I thought only Harley and Corvette Owners were that dedicated. You should send photos of your dining room into DCL - I bet they have not seen that kind of dedication. The colours are distinctive. I guess if someone asked what it is that is not familiar with DCL, you can say you like a nautical theme.

A small table in a corner with s model of your faorite ship would accent it I guess. I am not much into interior decorating, but the artwork does look tasteful.

wouldn't want it in my dining room (maybe family room/den) BUT it is an amazing job and.....

my kitchen has 2 walls which are the same shade of blue.....very easy to buy cobalt glasses, dishes right now to match
