DCL Europe Summer 2022 approaching - what are you doing?

Are you sure? People are claiming to take their antigen test kits and using emerald to proctor them via video conference.
video conference is fine, its supervised. the at home tests which don't have video conference you cant do. the airlines will check the cert at check in

So for those of you inside your activity booking window for the European cruises, are the activities listed here not showing as available? https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures/europe/

I'm sending my 130 day concierge email next week for the Norway itinerary and I will be requesting activities based on this list - for our specific ports.
So for mine it may be different as we are on the 11 night Northern Europe and they have pushed out ability to book until later this month although no one know when that is. Some of the activities are there, at least onboard activities, but we are not allowed to book them, ie Palo.

For our Greek Isles cruise, we were able to book at Platinum advanced dates.

I wonder if they are still potentially making itinerary adjustments in Northern Europe…

Oh good. This is what I was hoping to be able to do from Barcelona back to US. Thank you for this.

For those of you sailing out of Dover, are you staying overnight before the cruise in London or Dover? For the return to the US, does anyone know if there is testing at Heathrow? (Spending a few days in London after the cruise.) Thx!
It may all change by September of course...

We’re on the 7/30 mystery cruise out of Dover. Our plan is to stay in Dover the night before. This is because we’ve cruised out of Dover before but not explored the castle or cliffs and I wanted to do that. It is easy to take the train from London. I searched earlier today and there are Covid test sites at Gatwick and Heathrow - all subject to change of course. Here’s to finding out where we’re going!

There is no shortage of testing locations around London. We are staying next to Paddington station before our departure and there is testing at the station. Heathrow testing info is here: https://www.heathrow.com/covid-19

They are, we were supposed to have our replacement(s) for St. Petersburg in March but it was pushed to mid-April and now late April. We shall see if that holds.

I am on the September Norwegian Fjords cruise. I have booked a hotel in Dover for the night before the cruise. After the cruise my plan is to get the train back to London and stay a few days. I havent booked a hotel in London yet.

I’m staying in Canterbury the night before and driving home the day we disembark. I figured I’d get a better view of the white cliffs of Dover from the ship!

There is testing at Heathrow but it’s a bit of a trek from central London if you’re planning to do it the day before you fly.

I love that you framed is as the "mystery cruise" that makes it sound so much more fun than the "cruise DCL hasn't figured out what they are doing with." Mystery cruise sounds fun, you sign up and you know the region but not exactly where you will be stopping. I actually read about a small line that does this. The passengers vote on where to stop every few days. Thanks for the reminder that it's all in how you look at it.

We are on the same “mystery cruise”. Quite the adventure up to this point. Looking forward to finding out where we will be going and when we can finally book activities. Here’s to the unknown!

I just was getting stressed about not having the info and needed a different outlook so I could still be excited, even though I couldn't plan. We (mom and 16 yr old daughter trip) decided we were going no matter where we are going, that everyone who does go will be fun, and I love the idea of a 50 - 75% full ship and all the great things we'll be able to do on a not crowded ship. Here's to meeting all of you and if someone will organize fish extenders, we'd love to participate.

I have been massively frustrated with DCL and the situation as a whole but we are just like you in that we made the decision that we are going no matter what. It will be a blast seeing new things and having new experiences but sailing with a company to which we are very well acquainted. Look forward to many days of fun.

Does anyone know if you a test to get into Germany? I find different info everywhere.

Currently no. But you need to be vaccinated. Here is the info from the German ministry of health on this: https://www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de/en/coronavirus/infos-reisende/faq-tests-einreisende.html

Things might change though if a new variant would pop up. It depends if you come from a so called high risk country. Currently no countries are classified as such.

You need to be vaccinated though and require a booster if your second shot was more than 270 days ago. Also, J&J requires a second shot here to be considered fully vaccinated.

Wow, quite different. I assume the original itinerary had Sweden, Finland, and Estonia as well as Russia? I can see why it took so long to adjust the itinerary since they didn't just plug in a couple other Baltic sea ports.

Completely different cruise. I’m sure disappointing for many.
