DCL Cruise Playlists - songs needed

I apologize if these were mentioned but how about material girl and diamonds are a girl's best friend?

They kicked off Sail Away (the pre-show anyway) on the 2/22 Magic with "Get On Your Feet". Made me soooooooo happy!!!

One of the challenges with this list is parsing out the "standards" which DCL will likely always play on the ship vs. songs that are currently popular but probably won't be around long-term.

"Shut Up and Dance", for example, is a perfectly fine (if terribly overplayed) song, but I can't imagine still hearing it on the ships 2-3 years from now.

One of my favorites from Cabanas was Zee Avi - Just You And Me (you'll recognize the opening notes on the ukulele, as they were always clear over the noise of the crowd). I hadn't seen that on any of the previous lists.

There were some kind of obscure reggae songs that I think I remembered from the 80s. But I couldn't get their names. So I'm sampling all the Jimmy Cliff items on the list and any other "Reggae-ish" titles.

Also ... Mama Look A Boo Boo!

Wow...I can honestly say I never heard "You and Me" played in Cabanas!!!

After doing B2Bs last month I have come up with a new one....I'm on Top of the World, by Imagine Dragons. Both times when I was on my way up to the Sail Away Party it was playing as I was in the same exact spot, heading up the stairs. :goodvibes

Thank you both!

I’m surprised Disney hasn’t released a Disney Cruise playlist on iTunes

They have one on Spotify. It’s pretty uninspired - all show tunes from the animated films, and you can probably guess what most of the songs are.

But the music actually heard on the ships is far more eclectic and interesting, IMO. Some of it is transitory (I highly doubt that we’ll be listening to Imagine Dragons in five years), but a lot of them are true classics and/or so old that they’ve survived “flavor-of-the-month” status.

The three that come to mind is Shake It Off by Taylor Swift and that song they play every single time after the fireworks show Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. Without fail they play that song every time right after the fireworks. I also hear the Dwarfs Hi Ho Hi Ho song in the hallways when I leave my stateroom. We’re Following the Leader I hear often, Which should probably be taken down because it talks about fighting “Injuns”.

Added. Thanks!

Does anyone have a playlist of songs played before the current fireworks show Disney Ever After. There was a song that played on Deck 4 that started with harmonica I want to say. Sounded familiar but couldn't Shazam it.
