DCL called us with an upgrade!!!!

I was driving to an appointment in North Jersey this afternoon, when my phone rang and it was Kissimmee, Florida calling. I almost didn't answer.

It was DCL calling, they gave DH and me an complimentary upgrade for our cruise next Monday!
We went from Cat. 9C to a 4B. Yes, we are in a Family Verrandah on Deck 8. We were on Deck 2 with an Oceanview. I can not believed this happened to us.

Wow! What Pixie Dust! I start to cry when I got off the phone!

I hope some others got a call or get a call for your upcoming NYC cruises.

Feeling Blessed! Wow! I still am in shock.

We will enjoy the Sail away passed the Statue of Liberty! Need to bring something to toast with!

Typically, it just changes, and you find you either by spotting it on your reservation online, or at the port at check in.

It was so special. The CM was so nice and sweet. I got an email with the new cabin number, that made it real.
Maybe, because it was so close.

Generally, there's no notice that people get upgraded. Unless DCL has changed how they do things in regard to that.

In the past, when a party got an upgrade, you would just find out about it when looking at your reservation online. Or when you check in at the port.

Wonderful for you!!! It is rare to get a phone call. I wonder if there was an issue with the cabin you had so they upgraded you. With DCL you just never know!!!

I could not believe it! Very excited. We stayed in a Cat 4B with our 3 sons on our first Disney cruise in 2010.
I don't remember the cabin number it was on the left side of the ship, this time we are on the right side.

As to princessshmoo, why do you have to be a downer all the time and be so negative on people’s good luck with pixie dust. Maybe things have changed what Disney does now, that none of us know why they called her, or like the other person said maybe there was something wrong with her previous room. Then been other posts I have seen you on and you have been negative about

I was going to post the same thing. It's not necessary to post the same thing multiple times in one thread, kind of comes off as sour grapes IMO.

Thanks, I hope more upgrades come for anyone sailing this fall.
I figured the 4 night to Canada was a little quiet and family verandas were not in demand, so some were still available.

Or like MJ said, Deck 2 could have some issues.

Maybe they called to make sure it was ok to take you from an oceanview to verandah. I guess some people might have reasons to avoid a verandah room besides the cost. Personally, I think this is fantastic! Happy for you guys!

I am renovating my kitchen and the marble guy mentioned he just moved up from Florida, so I thought it was him. I was on my way to Moonachie to met him. Lol. So, I answered, boy I am glad I did! If Kissimmee, Florida calls, answer!!

Congrats! I'm definitely hoping for some pixie dust when I go on my cruise in a few weeks. It's our honeymoon, and we were engaged in Disney, and they made us feel so special. They are always so nice. Congrats to you!!!
