DCL Brides? Agenda?

Calling Cruise brides! I need some help/advice.

We are getting married on 9/10/11 on Castaway. We are NOT using DPS for our photos, but instead are actually bringing our own pro photographer with us. We figured trading a room for photos was a decent trade!!!

Anyway we had our first "official" planning meeting the other day and we trying to plan out times. I know timing is tight on a lot of things, but did you get an itinerary from DCL that you might share?

It would be a great help!

Also, for me, the groom, Shoes.. I'm planning on wearing a tux, but shoes? I'm leaning to barefoot in the sand, but.... What did you and your DH do?

everything is pretty much decided and finalized before you get on board, so any "agenda" you get, you'll have it before you leave. the timeline basically goes like this: time for brides hair appt, time coordinator picsup groom, time coodinator pics up bride, ceremony start time, cake/dancing, and if applicable, time for Palo dinner.

My ceremony was on the ship, but here is what my schedule was:

2pm Hair appt in Vista Salon
when we returned to our cabin, the flowers had been dropped off.
410pm Imran came to get groom
425pm Imran came to get bride
430pm ceremony
6pm dinner in Palo

we ran a little late......I don't think he came to get me until 430 and the ceremony didn't start until 440pm but otherwise it was pretty good.


As for the Barefoot Tux look, just for me personally, I don't think it works. You're trying to combine the "formal" look with the tux, and the "casual beachy" look with the barefoot. I would want it one or the other, either full tux with the black shoes, or the bare foot look with Khaki's and a light tropical shirt.
