I really, really want to book a Disney Cruise in the next year or so. My dd is starting Middle School so taking her out of school is a bigger deal than on past Disney vacations. That means during $ummer vacation, etc would be the best time for us. Here's my question ...if you could go sooner would you book a 4 day or would you hold out longer in order to afford a 7 day?

For those of you who have done 4 day, what is your fave Nassau excursion......dks 7 and 11.

We did the 4 night in March and loved it but on the last day we were asking ourselves why we didn't do the 7.

In Nassau we loved the Blue Lagoon/Stingray City excursion. The stingrays were cool and the Island was quite lovely.

We just came back from our 1st DCL 7 day western, if $ isn't an object then I would hold out for the 7 day. We've gone on other cruise lines but have never done a shorter cruise, but I was so bummed when we got off the Magic the other day that I can't imagine how I would feel after only 4 days. ::MinnieMo

Well don't forget that for summer of 2005 your only option for a 7 day cruise would be to go to the Mexican Riviera so if that isn't part of your budget/interest then it wouldn't do you much good to hold out for longer to do the 7 day cruise. Unless you are thinking of summer 2006 and there is already a rumor started that the Magic may relocated the Mexican Riviera again.

So do you have a spring break you would consider going or winter break? In Wisconsin the kids get out 3 days for teacher's conventions in October so maybe if you wouldn' t have to pull her out for a full week that would help. Also, if you were willing to pull her out in the crusing off season you'd find that a 7 day wouldn't cost much more than a 4 day in peak season.

But a 4 day is much better than none!
