Hi Folks,

Hoping that someone can help me with deciphering the DCL COVID rules. I just took a COVID test (Rapid test) yesterday and it can back as positive (boo!) and we are sailing in September on the Wish.

When I went on the DCL site, it shows the requirements are:

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within 11 to 90 days of your sail date and would like to be identified as 90-Day-Recovered, please upload to Safe Passage the following:
  • A copy of your previous positive COVID-19 test result which is greater than 11 days and less than 90 days from your expected sail date. The test must have been antigen, NAAT, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR. The test result must include your date of birth.
  • A signed letter (on official letterhead that shows the name, address and phone number of a licensed healthcare provider or public health official) stating that you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days and are clear for travel.
  • Vaccinated Guests must also upload proof of vaccination in addition to their 90-Day-Recovered documentation.
Any idea how I get a copy of my positive test when Ontario is not allowing us to get a PCR test? Has anyone had to do this prior to cruising?

If I have to get tested (paying for it), which test and where?

Sorry if it seems straightforward but I’m kinda freaked out because we have planning this for too long!

Thanks so much,
Mandy

They are not asking for pcr proof. What I would do is contact one of the virtual covid centers and you can use your own Ontario gov't covid test (you have to retest with the attendant viewing). The attendant will guide you through the process and email you proof. You can check in the sticky for online places to contact.

I didnt realzie we could do this....

Gotcha. That makes sense. Trickier if you don't have a family doctor though :(
I know on the cruise boards people have got them from telehealth Docs. Any clinic should have someone who could write a letter. Maybe there’s one you could call and ask?

Well luckily I don't need a letter of recovery at this time ;) But yes hopefully any of the walk in clinics around here could help with that if the need arises.
