I am booking with US Air for a flight to BUF-MCO and a 45min layover in DCA where we change planes, now my question is I looked at DCA termainals and because our flight is a USAir Express it looks like it lands in Terminal C and US AIr is out of Terminal B ... my question is according to the map it looks like i have to go through Securtity again can anyone verify this for me ????

No, you do not need to re-clear security.

They run a shuttle between the North and Center pier. (Terminals B/C don't really apply airside, its more for checkin)

The shuttle runs between gates 36 and 23. There is a sign posted near the gate. Just wait there and when the bus arrives an agent will open the door, you walk down to the tarmac and board the bus. It runs quite frequently and will run with just 1 passenger aboard.

thanks Uva185..... Do you think 45 min is enough time to switch airplanes at DCA ????

Definitely!! DCA is very compact and easy to navigate. Even with the shuttle it should take 5-7 minutes from the time you deboard the first plane.

However, make sure to re-check your gates when you land.

I am presuming you are on an Embraer 170 or 175 from BUF since those use the Center Pier at DCA.

If you arrive from BUF on a Regional Jet (CRJ) you will park in a remote "express aircraft" area and a bus will take you to gate 35A on the North Pier.
