Help! I think I've over-planned and I know I've over-obsessed. I need expert advice...which of these 2 DCA rope drop plans is best? It is an EMH, BUT we are staying offsite and can't participate. Going this Tuesday, 3/6. Park opens 10am for us regular folks :)

Plan 1:
Get Soarin FP
Ride TSMM
Ride Soarin with FP (will time be up yet?)
Get RSR FP
Ride Screamin
Ride Fun Wheel

Plan 2:
Get RSR FP
Ride TSMM
Ride Screamin
Ride Fun Wheel
Get Soarin FP
Ride RSR with FP (again, will it be time yet?)
Get another RSR FP after Soarin' return time

We also want to ride Luigi's and Mater, where should these go? Any other strategies are welcome too, this is the best I've come up so far. Thanks guys!

I agree...do plan #2 or else you run the risk of not getting RSR FP at all. In terms of when to go on Luigi's and Mater's, go on them while you wait for your RSR FP window to open up.

Plan 1 with a slight change.
Soarin FP
TSMM
Screamin no FP needed
Funwheel
Goofy Sky School
Get WOC FP if you need it
Should be around 1130am
Get RSR FP before you use Soarin FP
Now use Soarin FP.
Lunch time
Hollywood Land attractions after that.
Experience remaining Paradise Pier attractions
Once RSR FP 2 hour window is up get FP for Screamin if you want to ride at night.
Then do Maters and RSR when the RSR FP time is active.

As a fellow obsessive planner, I just want to say be ready to be flexible. The Disney winds always find other plans for us. After about hour 3 of day 1, my plan goes out the window. But it sure as hell is fun planning it!

That is the truth, carrierael77! I do love the planning, ALMOST as much as the trip!

10am opening... be at the gate at 9am. Sometimes there are not enough EMH people there and they let a few other people in. It happened for me February.

Even if you don't get in for EMH, you will be right on the rope for rope drop instead of way back.

I've been watching weekday FP return times for RSR for the last two weeks and they tend to run out about noon. Around 11 the return times are in the evening. This has been pretty consistent and heavy crowds have been reported due to ski week, Presidents' Day, and so on.

I'll be there the same day and planning on Plan 2 or something very similar, with the hope of a 2nd RSR FP to ride at night. If that doesn't work, we will try single rider after dark.
