I have two tickets that expire soon and made reservations for my kids for DCA Sunday 11/6/22 a few weeks ago. I am buying a one day ticket for myself and now DCA is not available for 11/6/22. I know dapper days is happening at disneyland that weekend, but is there some other reason or event happening for DCA to not have any reservations for a one day ticket? or is this a result of people staying away from disneyland because of dapper days being crowded and booking DCA?
The rest of NOV still wide open for all parks all days for one day ticket except this one day, the only day we can go. Side question - If I don't use my two tickets, will disneyland extend the expiration? Thank you for any help. I'll keep checking for reservations being released or opening up.

DCA closes at 5 that day-speculation is it’s due to a cast member party that evening-so maybe that’s why.

That weekend is Dapper Day I believe. Likely the reason for Sunday being fully booked.

and......I just noticed you already knew that. LOL.

If you don’t have park hoppers, your day will end at 5pm if you start in DCA, due to whatever the event in DCA is that night. If you have hoppers, you can go to DL after 1pm, if you start in DCA.

If tickets are completely unused, they retain their value if they expire. You can apply the value of the unused but expired tickets to new tickets, as long as the new ticket is equal or higher priced to your expired ticket. This almost always has to be done in person at the ticket booth, which is a challenge if you are not local. Also, if you plan to use them the day that you exchange them, park reservations may not be available (so you may have to make one trip to exchange the tickets and another to actually use them).

I don't see DCA closing early that day. It closes at 5 on Wednesday Nov. 16th. OP was asking about Nov 6th I think.

Thank you for the info on the expired tickets.

Dapper Day is extremely popular and the parks are usually packed for the entire weekend. We have gone for several years now. I am not surprised to see a booked up Sunday 11/6 (which is the actual official Dapper Day event, though people will be there for a Saturday as well). However, if you are diligent about checking you should be able to get a reservation, either a cancelation or if Disney releases more reservations.
