Looking at doing a meal at Ariel's Grotto mid-March - and there seems to be a discount for sitting outside. How bad is the noise, view, dust, etc from the work on the lagoon? Anybody have recent pics?

I didn't realize they gave a discount for sitting outside. Do they always do that I wonder, or only because of the construction going on right now? I do know that it won't be pretty out there during that time. I'm almost certain the water will still be gone.

We are heading there in March too. I plan on taking my dd there again but I think I will stick with eating inside.

I can imagine it getting quite crowded inside. They will have to do something to get people to sit elsewhere. I really wish the reno's would be done sooner then later.

I don't know, I do know that when we sat outside we did not get a discount, that was in July so maybe that's why. OP depending on when you're going sit inside, if it's cold outside you don't want to be out there.

I don't know about the noise & dust from all the construction, but the view wouldn't be much to look at sitting outside. We sat outside in 2005 when it was Capt' Mickey's Dinner & the view was fabulous, but I wouldn't want to do it now...even for a discount.

Thanks everybody! I just spoke with Disney dining and they are not offering the discount for outside anymore. Although the price is a lot higher than I had seen on AllEars. I'm not sure we want to go as high as $40 each as we're all adults (my experience it's hard to get a good interaction as an adult with the face characters - much easier with the furred ones ;)

They did mention breakfast seatings before the official park open, but breakfast was the same price . . .:confused3

Kids definitely have it easier with the princesses. The first time I met a princess character I told her she was very pretty and I wanted to marry her when I grew up. She said, "Sir, you are in your late 30s and your wife is sitting right next to you." Pluto never gave me any back talk like that!

LOL Seriously??? That is too funny!!!! We tell Jasmine that she's DBFs favorite Princess every time we eat there and she's there, she's always very gracious and poses for a special photo with our "King" LOL.
