DCA radiator springs racer fastpass question

We are going to DCA on a Sunday and will enter the park at 7am since we are staying at a disney hotel. a few questions. How soon should we get inline to enter the park? What entrance should we use? When should I get inline for radiator springs racer fastpass machines which open at 8am? I know there is a line that forms at the rope drop and want to be infront of this line.
