DCA entertainment - which to see?

We will most likely only have 1 full day in DCA and 90 minutes will be eaten up with lunch at AG.

I'll be there with my DH and DD (5) and am wondering if I can't fit in all the entertainment, which one will she enjoy the most? Disney Junior, Aladdin, Pixar Pals? If we have to skip one, which one should it be?

I've heard Aladdin is amazing, but to be honest...she hasn't seen the movie and is much more familiar with the Disney Junior shows and Monsters Inc/The Incredibles for the Pixar Pals show.

I just can't figure out how to see all the shows, spend time on the rides/attractions and be in AG for 60-90 minutes...without going crazy trying to do it all.

What do you think? Thanks!

It's really not that hard.

Remember that Aladdin will probably be the show you like best, and you should do things for yourself. This is your trip not her trip.

Aladdin plays the least often and you should show up 30 minutes before. So only plan on a time for it.

Pixar Pals plays the next least, so you migh write down the schedule or at least note to check it in the park and hit it when convinient.

Disney Junior Almost plays in a loop. So like any other attraction that keeps going all day(though it stops late afternoon) just see it when you want. Just like when you want to ride ToT or Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. When you feel like it or want to see it just go over there and do so.

The Pixar Pals stuff started after we were there but has gotten mixed reviews...just not the same as the parade. If I absolutely had to miss something that would be it,,,

Do Alladin for you she will likely enjoy it too.

We did Playhouse disney in Dec w/ my DS6 and he really loved it! I have heard that except for replacing Pooh & Friends with Jake & the Neverland Pirates it hasn't changed alot since we were there and it was alot of fun.

You didn't mention what day you'll be at DCA but the Disneyland daily calendar says that Aladdin will not be shown on Wednesdays and Thursdays through the foreseeable future. I really hope your family is able to see it.

We are in the minority but my DH and I *hated* Aladdin. We thought it was just awful. In fact, as he only went to humor me on our honeymoon, I am now in lifelong debt to him. (In the form of sandwiches on demand. Don't ask, he's a weirdo. :) )

We would not miss Muppets 3D for anything. We are passing on Tough to be a Bug because DD (1) will probably be scared. We've never done Disney Jr because the characters aren't ones my kid ever recognized but it looks cute.

Hated Aladdin????:confused3
To be honest I have never heard someone not liking it. It is far and away the best stage show in all Disney parks by far. Please go and see the show. You will probably won't to see it twice that day. Its that good. Plan to be there at least 45 minutes early as this show packs them in. This is why when they tried to take the show away to replace it with the Disney cruiseline show the people revolted and they continued on the engagement. It is a must do. I promise.

We absolutely LOVE Aladdin!!!! Totally recommend it!! My DS14 doesnt really like Disneyland (ugh, I know) but when we go back, this was on his list of demands. He LOVED it!! The Genie totally ROCKS!!

Go see this show! You AND your daughter will love it :thumbsup2

I'm with you, Mike. I've never, ever heard of anyone who didn't like Aladdin! Oh well, just goes to prove that it takes all kinds to make the world (or land) go around.

Don't miss Aladdin! It's an excellent show & there's nothing else like it there.

1. Aladdin;
2. Muppets 3-D
3. It's Tough to Be a Bug;
4. Turtle Talk with Crush;
5. Animation - Learn to Draw Disney Characters is also good to go to.

DH doesn't really care for Aladdin, either. It could be the circumstances surrounding the time we went, but he hasn't been back to see it. The rest of us really like it.

I would also recommend Muppets 3D. My little kids (who aren't so little anymore) really loved Muppets when they were smaller. They still love to go see it now - and enjoy the theming and jokes more. It's a tradition for us to see it as our first thing in DCA.

They didn't know who the Disney Jr. or Handy Manny characters were, so we've never seen those shows.

My DD is 5 and has never seen Aladdin, the show was her favorite, also loved Crush, sat on the left edge of the floor and got to ask a question.
