DCA 6/23 vs 6/24

Originally my family planned on being at DCA 6/23 to see Pixar pier since it was blocked out. We had the dessert party scheduled for WOC. Then it got cancelled. We made lemonade out of lemons though. We found an opening for the paint the night meal on 6/24 (we wanted to eat there anyway). And, we upgraded the last 2 nights of our hotel from offsite to the Disneyland Hotel so our boys could enjoy that cool monorail pool area!

I read the convention on site will be in the parks on 6/23. I know APs are blocked this day, but i’m Sure all the convention people will be there. Realistically, how much worse will DCA be on 6/24 than 6/23 due to APs being unblocked? We will be staying at the Disneyland hotel the night of 6/23 so we can get into DCA at 7am on 6/24.

Vidcon Disney Day is 6/24 so you will have conference attendees in the parks (they can buy discounted tickets for parks at conference or via email link they all received) along with the unblocked APs.

Do you have parkhoppers, and how many park days do you have, total?

If you have hoppers, I'd head there first thing on the 23rd, see how it goes, and then you can decide if it's worth heading over at 7am on the 24th, too... sounds like you're going to be in DCA on the 24th either way for PTN, though? If you're in the park at 7am on a Sunday, you're way ahead of the game.

There's really no way to predict the impact of the conference, AP blockouts, "1st day" rush, etc. Both days will be crowded with people wanting to check out Pixar Pier.

We have 4.5 days. Leaning towards no Park hoppers to save $$.

During a busy time in the parks, I feel the cost of Park Hoppers is worth it.

We would not even go when it is busy without and AP or parkhoppers, and now Maxpass. They save much time in touring and just plain getting things done. We make the park work for us when we have the opportunity.

I would go with park hoppers.

I would absolutely agree to go with park hoppers. You are going at a time that will be crowded and super hard to predict with a lot of moving parts (blockouts, discounts, convention, Pixar pier, etc). This is one time the hopper will be an absolute life saver. It will allow you to adapt and adjust on the fly.
