DC without dolphin swim

Yes you do!

For example, I did the dolphin swim, and my mom did not. We both enjoyed going to SeaWorld around our DC visit.

Sorry, OT, but I'm thinking of doing exactly this for my daughter as a surprise (actually, the trip to FL is a surprise - we are going to CA but I am planning a short trip to FL first to take her to DC and then off to DL). I want her to be able to do the dolphin swim but I'm not particularly interested. Was your mom able to watch while you had your dolphin experience?

She definitely was able to! The guests who weren't doing the dolphin swim were allowed to stand on the beach and observe (and even take pictures). The only rule they emphasized was that non-dolphin swim guests could not get in the dolphin lagoon (to take pictures or observe).

There are better spots to watch from than others. For example, there was a group that was right next to the shore, whereas my group was farther from the shore. However, my mom was still able to get some pictures of me during the experience. If you have a camera with a pretty good zoom, you may get decent pictures. But when we saw the professional pictures, we just had to buy them!

What a great surprise for your daughter - she will love it, and so will you!
