DC with 3 and 6 year olds?

Looking for opinions on whether Discovery Cove is worth it for us, we have 2 girls, 3 and 6 years old. The 6 year old said she would be nervous to swim with the dolphins, so IF we went, we would be choosing the package with no dolphin swim. The 3 year old can't swim on her own w/o flotation. Think we should wait a few years before going to DC?

Your 3 y/o wouldn't be able to do the dolphin swim because the minimum age is 6 for that activity. To do DC without a dolphin swim is $100 cheaper than with it. Non FL residents pay $279 for a day at DC right now with the dolphin swim, FL residents pay $199 for the same. You can get discounts for the various season SeaWorld passes too. I think you should wait.

DC is a relaxing type of visit. There is no way you can relax chasing 2 kids around. The visit would bascially be listening to them whine, and doing what they want. Little kids have no clue how much stuff costs, or how much work is involved in taking trips.
Right now, take them to Disney. Or you can visit SWF and pet the dolphins in the Key West area.

Last summer, we took our then 5 yr and 8 yr olds. The 8 yr old did the dolphin swim and loved it!!! We bought a poster size pic of him kissing his dolphin. Our 5 yr old loved the day too! They have life jackets so she could go anywhere in the water too. they never asked to leave and we had a great time!!!

I would definitely wait on DC with a 3 and a 6 year old. We did go when my DS was 6 and he did the swim with my DH. They loved it but there wasn't much for me and DD3 to do. They even had to close the ray/fish pool because someone got sick in the water so that left even less to do!! To be honest, we had much more fun at Typhoon Lagoon
