DC, Seaworld. Aquatica with no car?

Anyone done all 3 and didn't rent a car? I prefer not to drive but I'm concerned about shuttle schedules. Which hotel would you recommend?

Are you looking for specific hotel amenities? Or choosing solely by location?

We always rent a car for our SW vacations, so I am not sure how convenient the shuttle schedules are.

I really want to go for a short trip (3 day) and I could drive but it's about 11 hours. I can fly in an hour and was thinking I could stay at Renaissance & take the shuttle. I only plan to do DC,Seaworld & Aquatica for this trip. So would that be feasible or should I just make the 11 hour drive? Are the shuttles really inconvenient?

I really want to stay at Renaissance if I can do that and not rent a car. Is staying there without a car doable or would it make for alot of wasted time?

Not sure of your plans for getting there from the airport but once there it will be very doable and very convenient. All the Seaworld parks are very close together.

From the Renaissance, you can walk to SW. The only shuttles you would need to take are to DC & AQ.

I can't find any information on their website but since the Renaissance is the official hotel for SeaWorld I'm sure they run multiple shuttles daily to the parks. I did find this on their site but it doesn't go into detail. As an Official Hotel of SeaWorld, guests of the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, receive exclusive benefits at SeaWorld and Aquatica. I'd give them a call to see what the benefits are and the shuttle schedule 407-351-5555

We stayed at HGVC SeaWorld last year. We ended up renting a car which we never do (one of the things we like about WDW is being able to forgo driving) because we were also going to LEGOLAND and would need to get over to the Outlets for the shuttle. We basically left the car parked for the week with the exception of the LL day and the day we went to Universal( the shuttle time wasn't going to work for us so we were glad that we had the option of the car).

But for SW/AQ/DC there would be no need for a car. Shuttles from the hotel work fine but we ended up walking to SW & catching the AQ shuttle direct from there. Granted for us it ended up being cheaper to rent a car than a cab or shuttle to & from the airport would have been but we may have just gotten lucky.
