DC rates and 2003 ???

I'm confused! When can you book a room for January or February 2003 using the DC discount? I'm not sure how that works. Are there a limited number of rooms they book using the discount? And if that's how it works, how many rooms do they book using the DC discount rate anyway? Or is that a highly guarded only-the-mouse-knows secret.

Yes there will be a limited number of rooms available under the DC discount. Go ahead and book now and when the DC discounts come out (Sept.-Oct.) you can then apply it. ~~

May I ask a further question then.....if I book now thru DC and then their rates come out in Oct and I change to get that rate...if one of those better rates comes out in say, March, can I still change it? Or would I have to make a new ressie thru CRO and then cancel my DC ones???? Or even change to one with an AP rate. Thanks.

I made a DC reservation with WDTC for December, 20% off CBR. I mentioned to the CM that I'm hoping an AP rate comes up, she said you would have to make another reservation and cancel the DC one and get a credit on your card.

That's what happened for us this past trip.....I made the ressies about 11 months ahead. Booked at the rate for the time (full rack) with CRO, then when DC rates came out, I called and changed to that. They made new ressies, refunded the old deposit, made a new deposit. This one was with WDTC.
Then.....one of the codes came out. I switched to that. Same thing. New ressies, refund, new depsoit. Back to CRO.
But....it isn't hard, takes no time really and all went very smooth

Ditto what Meriweather said for us too. We booked through CRO, then the DC discount, then the AMEX discount. And I can check my credit card balances on-line and the credit from WDW showed up within a week of canceling. ~~
