November will be hit or miss. We went Friday after T-giving last year and it was nice........75-80 and sunny. It was a GREAT day! We had originally planed to go Tuesday before t-giving, but Orlando had a freak cold snap with temps into the high 20's.........it snowed in Orlando that night !!!! We took advantage of D.C's 1 free reservation change and went Friday instead.........worked out great. The river and pool are approx 85 deg, and awesome.........I think we stayed in there most of the day warming up, after quick trips to the coral reef. The coral reef is kept at 75 deg. from what the lifeguards said.........but it felt colder! Still we were O.K. wearing just the neoprene jackets. We started out with shorty wetsuits, but they were a bit uncomfortable, so we switched to jackets..........much better! Here is a "old school" water skier tip if its to chilly for you in the reef.........Before you go into the reef, fill up your wetsuit (full or shorty) with warm water from the showers........your body will have an easier time keeping the water warm and will make it nicer to enter the water. You will slowly get used to the water instead of shocking your system!
If I were you I would plan 2 dates and be flexible to change with the weather forcast. You will have 1 free reservation change, but just hope that some other date is available. In Nov. you should be fine........we re-booked for a full capacity Friday after T-giving just days before with no problem.
BTW......"black friday" was at FULL capacity and still it was a very nice un-crowded day!!! Well worth the money imho!!! Great day to just kick back and relax, swim and eat/drink all you want.
We will be back in about 2 weeks....August 7th, for another day at DC! Its hard to justify the big $$$ it costs for admission, but once you go.........you will see its worth it! We CANT wait to get back!
Good luck...........Syndrome
