Is there anyone else from Canada going to the DC Games 2008? We received confirmation Sunday 1129 pm for 6 tickets. Sent email at 1211am Saturday. We are coming from Edmonton and we are going to surprise the kids when we get there. Sooooo excited we have never done it before.

We got tickets for the concert on the Saturday night. Kids are really excited about seeing Cheetah Girls and Jonas Bros.

The Games are scheduled for April 28-May 3,2008.Last year the tapings were free and open to anyone.The taping of the DCG Concert was free,but required a ticket.I was able to get concert tickets through an Annual Passholder promotion and am not sure how the General Public concert tickets were distributed.

2008 Disney Channel games to be taped April 28 - May 3
The 2008 Disney Channel games will be taped at Walt Disney World from Monday, April 28 through Saturday, May 3 for airing this summer. Disney Channel Games benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, UNICEF and Boy & Girls Clubs of America. In past years the games have been open to the public at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports. We'll have more details on this year's event as they become available but one interesting thing we've heard about is a FanFest on April 30th.

We went to the concert last year and it was a lot of fun. Be prepared for the down time though. They took a 2 hour break in the middle of the concert and showed Disney shows on the jumbo screens during this time. Also, each act performs their song two times for taping.

There is an excellent fireworks show at the end so be sure to stick around for that ( 10-11 p.m.)

We got confirmation at 6:29pm 05/29. Now trying to get the tickets since we don't arrive until 05/02 and they need to be picked up by the 30th. Any ideas? The girls will be too disappointed if we don't go.

Wait... is this being taped AT disney??? I need more info about this because we are going to be at disney during this time

It is being taped at the Wide World of Sports on Disney property. It is about a 5 minute car ride away from the Pop Century.

Where did you hear this at? I've been wondering if him and Ashley Leggat would be participating this year.

Hi Everyone,

We will be in WDW from 4/27 to 5/4 and this is our first trip to WDW. My girls 7 and 13 are VERY EXCITED!!!! because this is our first visit and also because they might get to see some of the disney channel stars!!! I tried to get tickets for the concert...no luck
Has anyone ever been to the games before? Is it worth going to?

From what I have read on other threads, there is no admission to watch the games at WWOS.
