DC expiration date

Let's say I join the DC today. Would my membership expire exactly one month from today (9/16/03) or is it a monthly thing, and therefore good until the end of September 2003?

I joined on 1/18/2002. My membership card says it expires 02/03.

I joined the first week of this month. I received my DC card and the expiration date is 09/03. So if you can wait, you may want to join 1 October to get the fullest use the membership, as it should expire 10/03.

So, NotTooGoofy , basically you're saying that your card will be good to use until the end of September 2003?

Oh, one more question: how long does it take to get your card after you apply?

If the DC card is like most cards, I assume it is good until the end of 09/03, not the beginning. But I can't be 100% certain. Now if I booked a room at WDW for Dec 2003, and used my DC card for a discount, I would need to renew the card prior to going to WDW for the discount to apply (because the card would expire in Sept).

I applied on-line for the card August 31st and got the card within 2 weeks, faster than I thought would happen. But my member number was sent in an email on Sept 1st, so I could use it to make reservations, buy stuff, etc. right away.

I just joined near the end of August. Since our trips are planned for Oct. this year and Sept. next year, I wanted to make sure the card would be good for both trips. When I called to join, she told me it would expire at the end of Sept./2003. My card says 9/03.

I just joined last week, and the expiration date (on my online account) shows up as 9/30/03.

Definitely your membership is valid until the end of the month. I had received my new DC card, but forgot to put it in my wallet (duh ) and when I got to the Disney Store I realized my mistake. Thankfully it was the 30th of August, and my *old* card expired 8/02....I was still able to get my discount
