Daytona or Clearwater? Or the beach at all?

Hi We are here now and were thinking of driving to either Daytona or Clearwater beach for the day tomorrow. Any suggestions as to which is better to visit? Less busy to drive to on a Sunday? Should we even try to go on a Sunday? We have two girls aged 9. Any suggestions would be very appreciated! Thanks!

Our favourite beach is actually Cocoa. Great surfing, fun atmosphere, awesome pier. There's an amazing burger joint on the pier that doesn't look like much from the outside but has AMAZING hamburgers. This beach is also very near the port that the Disney cruises launch from so sometimes you can get a glimpse of one of their ships.

We had a beach day at Clearwater Beach in September and loved it! The fine white sand is amazing We saw wild dolphins and found it very convenient to eat lunch, find beach toys, etc. - all right on the beach.

I've been to neither but have family who has been to Clearwater and the pictures looked amazing!

Of the two...I love Clearwater. The beach is cleaner and the sand is whiter.

I love Honeymoon Island. They have a dog beach which I take my dog Stewie to. He loves it to.
