I was curious what is the most popular thing to do on board during the day on a cruise.

Is swimming the thing to do or walking (exploring) around or eating??

I have never cruised before and it appears that evenings are very busy. Are the days relaxing??

Just curious in NY.

The days can be as relaxing or as busy as you'd like them to be. You can grab a lounge chair and hang out by the pool and relax, or there are plenty of activities going on. You can attend an "Art of Entertaining" demonstration, do a wine tasting, work out in the spa/fitness center, have champagne brunch at Palo, catch a movie in the Buena Vista Theatre, play bingo, hang out at ESPN Sky Box and watch soccer in Spanish, or just grab a chair on the promenade deck and sit and read.

There are other things going on, too. This is just what I've recalled of the top of my head. I personally like to grab a lounge chair on deck 10 above the Quite Cove pool and hang out and read. When I get hot, I head down the stairs and jump in the pool to cool off, the go back to my chair and repeat the cycle....

Our first Disney cruise we spent most of our time exploring, hanging out in the sun, etc. Our second cruise, last November, we did lots of little things. Napkin folding class, dance lessons, fruit and vegetable carving - we had a blast! There's as much or as little as you want to do on board the Magic and Wonder! Enjoy!!

SenorFerrari,

That sounds right up my alley. The "hang out in the sun go down take a dip and repeat!!!!!" :smooth: :smooth:

Thanks for your replies. It sounds so great. I think that we probably will want to explore a lot this cruise and get excited about the next one?? Napkin folding sounds very cute. I will have flashbacks from my joyous waitressing days. Oh how I miss them!! For real.:(

Queenof,

The beauty of the "sitting by the pool" activity is that people will come by and bring you drinks! Yes, whoever invented this cruising thing was smart person......

The most popular thing to do on a cruise? Whatever you want it to be!!! If you want to do everything they offer and attend every show, every buffet, every game played on board, etc...then that's great! If you want to do nothing but "people watch" and sit by the pool and have people bring you drinks then do that! :-)
I've learned after many many cruises to just pick and choose what I want to do though I make sure I see the sun set on the ocean while we're at sea. I pick and choose each day on various activities and events I'd like to watch/participate in and I usually explore the ship to see everything the ship has to offer.

Just remember.......the most stressful thing you should do on a cruise is to decide whether you want to eat at the buffet or at the restaurant.:)
