Hi! I was wondering about daytime meals on the cruise - are the 3 main dining rooms (or any of them?) all open for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner? Can you go to any of the 3 or are you assigned just like for dinner?

On the Fantasy only Royal Court was open for breakfast and lunch (with the exception of embarkation day when it was concierge only and lunch was in AP).

Ive done 2 cruises, one on The Magic and one on The Dream. I have never eaten in Cabanas buffet.

For breakfast every day I go to one of the MDR. Its usually shorter hours than Cabanas, 8am to 9.30am. On The Magic Lumiere's was open for breakfast, on The Dream Royal Palace was open for breakfast.

For lunch on sea days I go to one of the MDR. Its usually shorter hours than Cabanas buffet, 12pm to 1.30pm. On The Magic Rapunzel's Royal Table was open for lunch and on The Dream Royal Palace was open for lunch.

On embarkation day I also go to the MDR. On The Magic Rapunzel's Royal Table was open for embarkation day lunch and on The Dream Animators Palace was open for embarkation day lunch.

There will be one MDR open on your ship for breakfast and lunch. Which one will depend on which ship you are sailing on and hours will be published. As mentioned above, MDR hours will be shorter than Cabanas' hours.

Can you go to any of the 3 or are you assigned just like for dinner?

Only dinner in the MDR is assigned. Breakfast and lunch you can go to any open food option, the MDR, Cabanas, the pool deck grab and go. You can go to one or all, no one is checking which you go to.

In the MDR lunch and breakfast you do get asked for your room number, but this is just for table assignment.

Breakfast and lunch are not assigned -- you may eat wherever you'd like (that's open). There should be at least 1 MDR open, though the hours will be more limited that Cabanas/Marceline Market and the poolside venues. If you choose to eat breakfast or lunch in the MDR, you will most likely not have the same serving team that you have each night at dinner. The rotational dining is only for dinner. The serving staff also work other venues during the day.

There is also a fresh fruit, vegys, salad etc. place open part of the day - on the classics it's right outside Cabanas. I never eat three full meals so I usually get something light there for lunch.

The buffet, Cabanas, is open for breakfast and lunch. One of the MDRs will also be open for breakfast and lunch (shorter hours than the buffet), and you will just be taken to a table when you arrive like at a regular restaurant. Smaller meals (and no hot breakfast items) are available 24 hours via room service.

For breakfast you can also grab a pastry from the Cove Cafe. No need to purchase a drink there in order to get the pastries. Just ask for them.

There also a card for room service breakfast that you can fill out and put on the door the night before. No hot item but you can get coffee, juice, fruit bowls, pastries, bagels, toast, cereal etc. We did that on the morning for the day at Tortola since our port adventure was leaving at 820 am. Wanted a light breakfast before getting off the ship.
