Days to visit in Oct for lowest crowd

DH and I are going to US and IOA the first week of Oct. We are not interested in HHN and we are staying off-site. I thought it would be good to go Monday and Tuesday. Do you think the crowds will be lower then? Maybe more little kids who wouldn't want to stay for HHN? (more rollercoasters for me )

With the hours shorter, do you think we can see everything in one park in one day? Does it matter which order I visit to get lower crowds?

Going during the week will definately help with the crowds. October isn't usually that busy anyway so you should be good to see everything you want to see in a single day...at the same park. It wouldn't matter which park you chose...take your time and enjoy yourselves.

Go the beginning of October if you can, because the end of october has a lot of school holidays....and you know what that means. Since you are into the coasters, I would definitely do IOA first and attack the park counter-clockwise. Then hit the studios. If you want to enjoy the kid side of it first, hit the studios and rides like shrek and jimmy nuetron....they tend to get busier faster. Avoid Fridays and mondays, and if you go during the middle of the week...do the studios first, (say you go on thursdays) because they have hhn those nights...they let stay and scream people in early, so they tend to crowd the park around 3.
