Days to Disney Calendar

yup - my paper chain countdown would circle the block a couple of times!

We did do the paper chain thing for the summer before we left on the 5th of August. To add to it I put a little message or plan for each day inside the loop so when DS pulled it off he would have something to do.

Some were Disneyish - watch the trip planner DVD or a Disney Video or find your sunglasses to pack...others were just things to do that day - go to the library or whatever. He really liked it.

Just finished our 30 day countdown calendar yesterday. I make a castle cutout out of poster board and cut 30 doors into it. On the backside, I tape 30 different Disney movie scenes from our Disney movie picture-a-day calendar. Every night we open a door and reveal a new character. On the last night, we open the main castle doors to see a big picture of Cinderella. And the next day we're gone!!!

I love your idea. We have just a regular calendar that we mark off the days. So boring compared to your wall of Mickey Heads.

This trip took me by suprise.........we only planned it about a month ago. So I AM THE BIGGEST LOSER because I did NOTHING!!

The calendar is very cool. I'll have to think of that next time.
