Days of the week question

So, on a whim...almost as a joke, I asked my mom if she would go to Dl with me this summer since my bday trip got cancelled thanks to deployments. I figured she would blow it off as another of my crazy, half baked ideas...but she's actually interested! Obviously nothing is for sure, but we're definitely thinking about it. We would probably stay at Tropicana but I have a question about what days I should be looking at.

We'd be going in either late may or early june, so would there be any difference in picking weekdays or weekends? I'm figuring not as much since schools are starting to get out and weekends aren't as big a deal anymore. But, in all the infinite wisdom that is the DisBoards community...out of these date possibilties, are any of them "better"? My mom has never been and I don't want her *quite possibly only* experience to be of mostly corwds and not rides, characters, etc. I'm considering:

May 23rd-25th (mon, tues, wed)
May 25th-27th (wed, thur, fri)
June 1st-3rd (mon, tues, wed)
June 2nd-4th (thur, fri, sat)

Anything stand out as better or worse than the others? I'm trying to avoid the memorial weekend crowds, but also want there to be fireworks and etc, not sure when the "summer schedule" of daily fireworks kicks in.

My guess is that your earliest set of dates would be best, but they all seem pretty reasonable to me :rotfl:. Probably your last option should be your Thursday, Friday, Saturday one, as some schools (and definitely universities) will be out by then and weekends always draw larger crowds.

But I say when push comes to shove, even the busiest weekend should be a weekend spent at the happiest place on earth!! :thumbsup2

The dates are sort of split between the start of summer hours. Last year, you started to see longer hours at the end of May (21-27) with fireworks still Fri-Sun. However the next week, May 28-June 3, fireworks started nightly. There are a couple Thursdays in there with shorter hours for grad nights, but it is not a huge deal.

If you keep the same schedule, you get pretty good hours either date. Perhaps it depends if you want more nightly entertainment.
