Days of the week for your wedding?

Our wedding was on a Tuesday, because we wanted the date more than anything (our anniversary).

We chose Monday October 12 - just because it's Columbus Day. Our anniversary is October 8, but my school break doesn't start until the 10th. So we figured people who didn't have the week off would at least have the weekend off. They can come down and go back and only miss a day of work at the most!

Ours is going to be on a Friday (the day after Thanksgiving).

It works so great because a lot of our mutual high school friends will be coming back to their families for the holiday. Yeah...we don't have college friends. XD

Yep Monday sure is prooving popular. We are also having a monday *** i wanted it out of the way early on in our holiday. And all my family are travelling out from the UK at the weekend although i think i need to join the ranting thread due to my MIL being difficult.

We are doing the normal Saturday 4/25/09 evening @ 5pm. Both of our families live in driving or short flight distance so that works out best for working peps. Then we are leaving Sunday afternoon for our week long Honeymoon.

Our is on a Monday in April - no significant date - I really wanted to do 8/8 (our anniversary) but I don't think i would be able to stand that heat in Aug. I can't stand the heat in Jersey I def will not be able to handle it in Florida.

Just works better for me as I wanted to cluster everything into that 1st weekend to make for more honeymoon time!

Also because I want to have all the stress over with by the start of the week! lol

Ours will be on a Friday. I figure it will give guests the rest of the weekend to enjoy and then we'll be able to leave that Sunday on a cruise for our honeymoon. Hopefully it will all go well. Most of my guests have said they will be coming down Thursday, especially since our ceremony is at noon.
