I noticed the wait times at MK today on my phone app. We will be there in 2 weeks (Halloween week) and plan to go on the days the MNSSHP is not going on. Is the attendance higher on these days? Seems like the wait times are much higher than a normal Wednesday say in like September. Is this going to be a busy week at all the parks?

Attendance is higher on non-party nights at MK. People feel like they need to be able to stay later than 7:00pm to get 'value' out of their ticket. Also, on party nights, they don't have Wishes or MSEP, so it makes the days when those are offered (ie: non-party nights) busier. Plus, September historically has some of the lowest wait times. October/November are not super-busy times, but it will probably be busier than September.

I was at MK on a Wednesday in September (9/23) and it was PACKED (relatively speaking - I am accustomed to lower crowds in September.) Everybody who doesn't want to pay to go to the Halloween party, but still want a full day (including fireworks and night parade) at MK are going to go those days. So, yeah.. It's bound to be crowded.

I was checking the "how did we do yesterday?" section in touringplans daily during our trip and noticed that Saturday and Sunday October 10 and 11 were rated by Touringplans as 10s at MK (they had predicted 7 - 8). We were at MK the afternoon of Oct 11 and, to give you some perspective, we wound up doing the Hall of Presidents, which we had never done. That's how bad it was. We just needed to get away from the crowds. It didn't help that I was holding FP+ for MSEP and Wishes, so we could not get any FP+.

Yeah, if you have the park hopper option (indispensable, IMO), I would go to MK on party days, then hop to another park when the party starts. The crowds and wait times are noticeably lighter on party days. If you want to do the parade and fireworks, show up in the evening to grab a parade spot.

Consider changing your MK day to a party day. Even with the shorter hours, you'll get more done (and with less stress) than on a non-party day.

We don't have park hoppers and already have our FP+ for Monday and Wednesday. Oh well I guess we will get there at opening and do as much as we can and use our FP+.
