Days Inn Rodeway Inn Mickey and Friends Parking

I am considering staying at the Days Inn Anaheim West. I am aware of the bad reviews it has received. My question is what is the walk like from the Days Inn or the Rodeway Inn to the Mickey and Friends Parking facility shuttle...

contains some updated information about whether it is possible to take a shortcut through the employee parking lot. Apparently, a year ago it was possible, although it is unclear whether that is still the case. I guess it doesn't hurt to try to walk through the lot and see what happens. The parking lot shortcut is certainly preferable to taking the circular route via Disneyland Drive.
