I stayed there a few years ago and it was really disgusting !!
Pool is tiny and freezing cold, the 'deli' breakfast bar is little more than a shop, carpet was so dirty my kids had black feet from running round on it barefoot, noise from restaurant next door at 6am, broken safety deposit box. Mold on ceilings, cracked sink, cigarette burns on the bed spread ...are you getting the picture ???
It may be cheap but it certainly aint cheerful.
I certainly hope it has improved some - personally I'd pay a little extra and go for somewhere that at least meets some basic standards of housekeeping & amenities
I think the reason you see mixed reviews is that there is/was another Days Inn on I Drive, and people get these confused when entering their reviews.
I don't think we are over fussy- in my youth I have back packed all over Europe , staying at hostels ....and without exception, all of them were better and cleaner than this dump.
