Does anyone have any experience with this hotel?
We are thinking of staying there for 5 days this summer. AAA rated it 2 diamonds, and we are really only interested in somewhere to sleep and shower after visiting the parks.

I have read both good and bad reports on it and it's confusing to have such very conflicting opinions on the very same hotel.
Some say it's clean and tidy, others say it's a truck stop dump.

Thanks for any info.

I stayed there in 1999 for seven nights with a package with SWA. I would not stay there again. I had many complaints about the property. I did not feel safe there, they would shut down the elevator at night for "safety" reasons. I worried about what that meant. It was very old, at least the part that I was in, and the concrete walkway outside of our room was sagging and crooked. This is a little scary too. What if it fell??? Believe me, you can find a better place for the same amount of money. In the same area, there is a La Quinta Inn Lakeside, I hear that it is much better. Good Luck.

I've stayed at the LaQuinta Inn Lakeside (I beleive it is right next door). Reasonable, free breakfast, shuttles available. We are staying there again. Heck, all we need is a bed and a shower. This hotel also has a BIG safe in the room and a larger-than-dorm size fridge!
