Anyone stayed here or know anything about it? I have a friend who will be in orlando for 5 days at a convention. I plan to do priceline closer to her arrival date (6/25) but need an OK back up. All of the hotels on the "convention list" have room blocks, so they're not showing availability right now. She's hoping to visit seaworld for a couple days. I don't think she has much interest in WDW (OH MY!LOL!) Personally, I'd try more for the LBV area but she need to be somehwere near where the convention shuttles are running - which is primarily I-Drive, She won't have a car.

I would check tripadvsior.com and travelocity.com for hotel reviews.

most if not all hotels that are on Idrive/iuniversal blvd areas that have people for convetions at the convention center do have free shuttles to the convention center!! just ask in your hotel lobby

But does it have a shuttle to Disney? I'm trying to decide whether to rent a car or not. It did say 'walk to the CC' in the AAA book, and it does have free parking. But I'm thinking that if each one of us has to pay $25 for rt airport transfer, plus something for a trip to WDW, we may as well rent a cheap car. That way we won't be stuck eating dinner on I-Dr. (not my favorite place).

i sent them an e-mail, but they have not responded.

Yes, my friend is with ALA and I'm checking things out for her.

I don't know about a shuttle to WDW, but another option is to check out the shuttle schedule for ALA that goes to Hotels Wyndham and Hilton in DTD. You could shuttle to there, and walk to WDW bus system in DTD. If you were only going for a day, worse cas scenario you take a cab back to the hotel. Because of the location of the Days Inn in conjunction with the other ALA hotels, I figured she could easily walk to a hotel nearby and catch the shuttle.

akur,

I couldn't pull up that link for the review. How was it? I'm really hoping for this to just be a back up reservation that we'll cancel. I can't believe the prices they showed in the ALA material.
