March 7 (day 7) we took our time getting out of bed and having breakfast. Got to Epcot around 9:30. Security line was a little slow but it wasn't long and we were in the gates just as the character bus made its way to the front entrance. DD decided she had enough autographs but there were plenty of characters and some different ones if you wanted to wait.

Off to the Land where we watched the Lion King movie, Food Rocks and did the boat ride through the land. (The line for Spaceship earth was about 50 minutes when we passed it this am. Later in the afternoon when we were leaving it was a walk on.)

Headed for Mexico and did the little boat ride. DD5 was a little nervous since it is kind of dark and she hadn't been on it before. We watched the movie at China and DD decided she had enough about 3/4 of the way through. It is kind of a long movie - especially for that age! Kept walking till Germany when we decided to have lunch. Didn't want a big buffet but right next to it is a little tiny counter service that had sandwiches, brats, sauerkrat and pretzels. DD and I split a sandwich that was served on some sort of yummy pretzel bread. DH had a brat and we all split an enormous pretzel! It was the highlight of the day. (Don't forget to try a pretzel while in Germany!)

Stopped in France and each of us got a pastry at the little bakery in France. Yummy! On the way out I noticed a line at one of the little shops so I stopped to see what was going on and here it was Beauty and the Beast signing books and posing for pictures. The line was fairly long so after spending time looking around France we went back a few minutes later and there wasn't even a line. DD and I had our picture taken since she was more than a little nervous about the "Beast!" I just couldn't pass that up. Beauty was very pretty but she didn't say anything to either of us - signed DD's book and took the picture. Some of the characters really go all out with the charm and chit chat - others just sign and move on.

Afterwards DH went on Testrack for the first time and thought it was fun. DD and I wandered around innoventions. Last stop was to Spaceship where DH went for a ride and then we went back to HIFS and the pool.

I was in Epcot once about 12 years ago with my Mom. Thought it was fun and loved to shop. This time around I didn't get the opportunity to shop with DD and DH along. My DD didn't like Epcot - except for meeting Beauty. It is a lot of walking and I really don't think there is much for her age to do and see. I know others don't agree with this but stick with the Magic Kingdom when you have younger kids. They will enjoy it so much more. If it wasn't for my DH wanting to go I would never have agreed to take DD to Epcot till she was older.

March 8 - Saturday AM we flew back to Minnesota - boohoo! The plane from Minneapolis to Orlando was late due to weather/de-icing. So we had an extra hour+ to wait. Our flight was an hour late and the temp was about 5 degrees with a windchill of -20! We were happy to be home, not for the weather though. :)

It was a great trip and the weather was beauitful. Thanks everyone for sharing your tips, trips and information. Hope this was fun and helpful for someone in return!

Thanks for posting. I think we'll skip Epcot with our 4.5yo DGD if they don't introduce a new parade by 11/03.
