DW again .......

We booked a wake-up call, went downstairs all packed and ready to try again Breakfast was at 7.00am in the hotel, so we knew there was no way we would be flying at 11.00am as was suggested. We checked-in at 7..00am. The virgin passengers were all looking at us funny "Hey......Wednesday flight...why ya still here?!". Our flight code was changed to 175 so we all got on the right plane At around 11.30am our replacement plane arrived from Gatwick a 747 - 400 (Jersey Girl). We asked a member of the ground staff if she could swap our flight home to get our day back. Just before we boarded, she found us and had managed to swap for us. We had been given a letter to say we could have 50% off or next VA fare or £200 in VH vouchers. For us it turned out pretty good despite the inconvenience. For others, they lost a day of their holiday. I'm so glad we booked everything ourselves and were flexible.

Anyway.....pretty uneventful flight ~ thank goodness ~ and we arrived safely at MCO. Went to the Disney Store, got our AP's and headed for The Swan. We arrived 28 hours late, but we had called our Travel Agent 'Bob' at Dreams Unlimited and he had sorted out our room hold for us ~ we were very grateful!

Room is fab, quite small compared to regular US hotels, but all new and refurbed with a fantastic view of TOT and the Boardwalk pool. Had a hot dog in 'Tubbies' and crashed into bed after our 40+ hours travelling, but tomorrow, the holiday really starts!

Paula

p.s. forgot to say, when we landed at MCO there were a lot of angry passengers who had been stuck at the other end until we arrived!

Glad to hear that you got there...eventually :)

Glad that bit was smooth at last - and that you got your day at the end of the holiday!

Nice to know that you finally arrived safe and sound.

Now you can finally start enjoying your trip.

It was good that you were able to add a day on at the end so you didn't lose a day.

I would have thought that the passengers waiting for your plane to arrive were put in a nice hotel for the night as they waited?
