Day two of our 1st stay at VWL.....

and we LOVE it!!!! When BLT was announced I BEGGED DH to buy in, he said we will be there in Oct let's wait - we may love VWL!!! Well SSR is home and we were beyond thrilled buying in sight unseen!! But I agreed to hold off on BLT and if we loved VWL we would buy a resale instead, well needless to say we are hooked!!! Two days in and we have hardly left the resort!!!!

Transportation has been our only downside to this point - but we were expecting some delays - especially because we were traveling to GF for Dinner at 1900 Park Fare !!!!But that is by far a small problem in comparison to being HOME!!!!

Dopeygirl, glad your enjoying the lodge, it is a great place. Travelling from resort to resort using disney transportation can be a bit of a hassle try to sit back & enjoy the sceneray.

When we stayed at VWL and wanted to go to the 1900 Park Fare dinner, we found out that one of the park busses, (maybe Epcot?) first stopped at GF on the way to the park, so getting to the restaurant was no problem.

We own at SSR, too, and wish we had seen VWL first.
We just stayed there in September, and I have never had a better, more relaxing vacation.

We had the opportunity to stay at VWL in August. I LOVE that resort! Believe it or not, for as many times as we had been in the lobby and had eaten there, we had never gone out to the pool area. I couldn't believe how beautiful the back of the resort was! I remember the first time that I walked into the main lobby, I was in awe (in true Disney style!). I can honestly say, I still get the same feeling every time we visit.

I would be proud to call VWL home. I just don't need more points, or we'd have an add-on already! The ONLY downside that I saw is the point structure (at least for 1-BRs). Our points can go further at some of the other resorts. At the end of the day, though, if it's where you enjoy staying, the extra points would not stop me. We will definitely be back at some point.

To all of the VWL owners, thanks for sharing your home! I really didn't think I would like it as much as I did, and I sure didn't expect to fall head over heels!

To the OP, enjoy your stay!!! We had a great vacation there.

Glad you are enjoying WLV....I just returned Fri....and I absolutely love WL
I've been busy trying the rest....but as soon as we approached the lodge....I knew my favorite was absolute.

It is so relaxing there....we tend to hang at the resort more. Just so you know a cab from WL to Poly and CR about 5 bucks, and GF slightly more.
Bobbiwoz Idea seems the best though

OP....if you sit on the side of the pool by the pool bar....ahem...the view of the lodge is even better.

Yes, WL is conducive to hanging. Once we were at another DVC resort (not naming names ) and we found ourselves drawn to WL when we wanted to relax. How goofy is that??
