Day Trip a few questions

We only have one day, but would enjoy a buffet. Which do you recommend? I can go to either park. My husband isn't agreeing to a character meal without the kids. We are hoping to go back to WDW this year or next. We could eat a big meal in Disney village at night if that is a better option.

In one week we will be on a plane to Paris!
