We were up at 4.00am so after cat-napping, we decided to take it easy today and stroll round Epcot. We ate breakfast in the Club lounge, lots of yummy pastries, toast and cereals etc. We're not cooked brekky fans on hols, so it was perfect for us. Met the famous 'Mama T' who runs the lounge, she's a lovely lady!
We walked across to Epcot through the IG, took us about 15 minutes strolling. We did a few rides, then we ate lunch at Morocco, which was fabulous. We weren't sure what we wanted, so we chose the mixed sample platter. It was a salad starter with a gorgeous dressing, then cous-cous, chicken skewer and a lamb dish, followed by a fresh fruit salad. They were all really tasty and we were really glad we'd tried it. Back to the hotel for a nap and to prepare for a party at Epcot. We were joining a group from the chat board Paula posts on for an Illuminations Desert Party
We just missed a boat for Epcot, so we ran most of the way, got there about 7.15pm and most of the gang were there already. We met everyone in Mexico for Margaritas and then strolled round the world showcase to Italy. The Isola had been roped off and there was a table with the wines and desserts to go help yourself. There was a lady pouring the wine for us. Everyone was chatting and getting along really well. All the kids hit it off too. We had the PERFECT viewing spot for the illuminations, with hundreds of people looking at us enviously! All too soon it was over and some of us headed for the Boardwalk, while others said their goodbye's.
The Boardwalk was a great few hours, beer and pizza and plenty of chat. We had a great time meeting everyone and putting faces to names.
TTFN!
