Day Three (BIG SURPRISE) May 23, 2004

We had express check-out over at Pop Century and headed out early to check in at The Wilderness Lodge we arrived at 8:00am, no wait to check-in CM Bruce informed me we had been upgraded but not by him??? I thought that was a strange statement, he then said, You have been upgraded to Concierge Level at the request of Guest Service Manager Mr. Mark Newman.
OMG I was floored or air born both I was no longer thinking straight. Well Thank-you Bruce, he replies No need to thank me. I didnt have anything to do with it.
MAJESTIC/FRED....Did you put Mark up to this?????
Your room isnt ready yet. I told him we would be leaving to visit EPCOT so no rush.
We floated no walked to the Bus Stop caught the bus to Epcot stopping at The Grand Floridian to pick-up passengers (this was new it had been many years since WL had shared a bus with anyone but Ft. Wilderness Campground) The trip was much faster not having to ride to the Campground.
We arrived before the park opened and headed to Mission Space after a quick stop to retrieve a Fasspass for Test Track. The wait said 10 minutes but we walked right in no line. There were three of us and they didnt even have a single rider to place in the forth position, so we had the flight control capsule all to ourselves, which was a good thing my niece Katie started to freak-out . After I told her she would be OK and that I had also been scared on my first mission (and that I would give her $5.00 if she didnt say Lets ride that again.) she calmed down and the mission was back on. KATIE loved it and after a quick purchase of a Mission Space pin and Visor as reward for riding it for Katie, we were back in line we had a 10 minute wait this time and a newbie joined our group. I tried to assist this lady but she didnt fair very well, she said she was glad she had ridden, but felt no need in ever Going for Launch again in her lifetime.
We then walked over and did Test Track (no wait Fastpass) Nephew walked back over to MS and got a fasspass for later. We did Future World (Universe of Energy, Imagination! The Land, The Living Sea Spaceship Earth) after a stop at Ice Station Cool and some tasty Beverly, Katie was not amused This is where I fell in love with all the flowers after we come out from Ice Station Cool I was stopped in my tracks the flowers are absolutely beautiful the best I have ever seen anywhere any time.
We had lunch at The Coral Reef-Living Seas-EPCOT Creamy Lobster Soup and a Smoked Sliced Salmon Sandwich on Pumpernickel, Horseradish Mayonnaise, Chilled Penne Pasta salad. Yummy
After lunch we rode Mission Space (no wait Fasspass) then headed back to The Wilderness Lodge. We used our room key to access the 7th floor and in just a few minutes we were in our room. It was a woods View and looked out toward the Castle and The Contemporary Resort with the monorail, the otter pond could also be seen if I looked way down. (Yes, every night we were in the room a fantastic view of Wishes Fireworks which made the room priceless) Our luggage arrived and we went to the Concierge table and had some light refreshments. Nick & Katie wanted to swim so we headed down to the pool.
We then returned to the room and dressed for Dinner at Le Cellier we did have about a 15 minute wait after our PS time but it was worth the wait. I had driven over to BWV, valet parked so after dinner we walked back through the Boardwalk area and took in all the sights, we returned to the Lodge and were back in the room when Wishes started. WOW I could get use to this every night right outside my room. Then back to the pool and EWP in bed around 11:00pm a very long day but Magical Day.
